Model of The Month - Jessica White

My favourite model of the month right now would have to be Jessica White.

Jessica Terelle White (born June 22, 1984 in Buffalo, New York) is an American model and occasional actress.


At the age of 16, White was scouted in her hometown of Buffalo, New York, and had gone to Personal Best modeling school at age sixteen.
In Paris, she signed a contract with the IMG agency and over the next six months landed campaigns for CoverGirl, Chloé, and Gap.
She was soon walking the runways for New York’s top designers, including Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta, Marc Jacobs and Tommy Hilfiger.
Tyra Banks dubbed her "the model of her generation."

In June 2007, White signed a contract with cosmetics company Maybelline.






She has done editorials for Harper's Bazaar, Teen Vogue, King and covers shots for Surface and Trace magazines.
In 2003, White was chosen for a coveted shoot in Sports Illustrated's famed Swimsuit Issue.
She was also featured in the 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 issues.
In addition to working with world-class photographers she was the object/subject of several Joanne Gair body painting works in these editions.
White was part of Elite Plus, a subdivision of Elite Model Management, in New York City until it was terminated.
On October 14, 2009, she was featured on America's Next Top Model.
In 2006, White had a small role in Big Momma's House 2 and has appeared in music videos for Big & Rich,
singer John Legend, rapper Jay-Z (Change Clothes), Robin Thicke (The Sweetest Love),
and R&B singer Trey Songz (Neighbors Know My Name). In 2008 she appeared in The Young and the Restless.

 

My Favourite Fashion Designer - Zac Posen

My favourite designer right now would be Zac Posen .

Zac Posen (Born October 28th 1980) is an American fashion designer.

Posen was raised in the SoHo neighborhood of lower Manhattan, 

the son of artist Stephen Posen and corporate lawyer Susan Posen. 

His interest in fashion design started early, and as a child he would steal yarmulkes from his grandparents' synagogue 

to make ball dresses for dolls. He attended Saint Ann's School, a private school in Brooklyn, 

and in his sophomore year interned with fashion designer Nicole Miller. 

At age 16 he enrolled in the pre-college program at Parsons The New School for Design. 

He graduated from Saint Ann's in 1999. For three years Posen was mentored by curator Richard Martin at 

The Costume Institute of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. At 18, 

he was accepted into the womenswear degree program at London's Central Saint Martins College of 

Art and Design at the University of the Arts London. 

During his tenure in London, Posen found that the environment was competitive, 

while at the same time students were given a wide berth for independent learning. 

In 2001, Posen constructed a gown entirely made from thin leather strips and dress-maker hooks and eyes 

that was displayed by the Victoria and Albert Museum and featured in their "Curvaceous" exhibition.\

My 5 Essential Must-Haves

Well I think a lady should always have these 5 things that I'm going to show you.

#1 a black formal dress

#2 black pumps

#3 black bag

#4 black skinny jeans

#5 I personally consider black sneakers preferably converse

Those are my ideas of 5 essential must-haves. These things to me are very important for a lady to have... in case of emergency  or whatnot. I hope u like my idea and take something into consideration.

Hi !! Everyone, my name is Kadie and my last blog was a errrm let's say a flop... hoping now this one will be a better one. I'm going to be posting stuff mostly about fashion, but I would post about make-up and hair also. Fashion though is my forte, but I love make-up still thinking about doing a course in that area and I also treasure my hair and skin.
